PetGoLife is developed and operated by Intelicolabs Yazılım Hizmetleri A.Ş. (“we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.

Depending on where you live, data protection laws may apply to how we handle your information. Those can include Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union, the UK GDPR in the United Kingdom, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) for California residents who are covered by those laws. This policy describes our practices and the rights you may have; it is not a guarantee of certification or full compliance with every regime.

Data Controller: Intelicolabs Yazılım Hizmetleri A.Ş. is the data controller responsible for your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

We collect personal information that you provide to us, including:

Name and email address
Pet information (name, breed, age, medical history)
Health records you add (such as vaccinations and notes)
Medication schedules and adherence data
Feeding schedules and dietary information
Activity logs and weight records
Photos of your pets

2.2 Information collected when you use the app

Depending on how you use PetGoLife, we collect:

Device information: device type and operating system, used to run and support the app
Push notification token: if you enable notifications, we store a device push token (for example an Expo push token) so we can send the reminders you turn on. On iPhone, delivery uses Apple Push Notification service
Location: only if you allow it. We use location while you track a walk, to map the route and estimate distance. We do not use location in the background for advertising
Usage analytics: if Share usage data is on in Settings, Google Firebase Analytics receives app usage events such as screens viewed and feature interactions, and an app instance identifier. You can turn this off at any time. We do not use Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA)
Crash reports: if crash reporting is configured, Sentry receives technical error reports. Those reports may include a user id so we can diagnose a problem on your account

2.3 Website analytics

On petgolife.com we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 Purposes of Processing

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Provide, maintain, and improve our services (Legal Basis: Contract performance, Legitimate interest)
Send you notifications and reminders for pet care activities you enable (Legal Basis: Consent, Contract performance)
Generate care reports about your pets, such as meals, weight and activity (Legal Basis: Consent, Legitimate interest)
Communicate with you about your account and our services (Legal Basis: Contract performance, Legitimate interest)
Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support (Legal Basis: Contract performance, Legitimate interest)
Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats, including crash reports (Legal Basis: Legitimate interest, Legal obligation)
Comply with legal obligations (Legal Basis: Legal obligation)
Measure app usage through Firebase Analytics when Share usage data is on (Legal Basis: Consent)

Under GDPR and UK GDPR, we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:

Consent: When you have given clear consent for us to process your personal data for specific purposes (for example notifications, walk location, and optional usage analytics)
Contract Performance: When processing is necessary to fulfill our contract with you
Legitimate Interest: When processing is necessary for our legitimate interests (e.g., app security, service improvement)
Legal Obligation: When processing is required by law

3.3 Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or significantly affects you.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with service providers who help us operate PetGoLife, including:

Hosting and storage for the app and API
Apple (App Store billing, and Apple Push Notification service if you enable notifications)
RevenueCat (subscription status so we can unlock the app)
Google Firebase Analytics (only if Share usage data is on)
Sentry (crash and error reports, when crash reporting is enabled)
Cloudflare (website analytics and DNS)
Expo (push notification delivery)

These providers process data on our behalf to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law, or if we transfer the business (subject to this policy).

4.1 Subscriptions

If you subscribe, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not store your payment card details. We may receive and store subscription status (e.g., active, trial, expiry) from Apple or RevenueCat to control access to the app.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

6.1 Rights in Türkiye (KVKK)

If you are in Türkiye, you may have rights under KVKK, including to learn whether your personal data is processed, request information about that processing, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion or destruction under the conditions in the law, object to processing that has adverse legal consequences, and lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under GDPR and UK GDPR:

Right of Access: Request access to your personal data and information about how it is processed
Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): Request deletion of your personal data under certain circumstances
Right to Restrict Processing: Request limitation of how we process your data
Right to Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format

Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (including Share usage data, notifications, and location)

6.3 California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident covered by CCPA/CPRA, you may have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in CCPA/CPRA.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom, because some of our providers (for example Apple, Google, and hosting) operate internationally.

Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers, which may include Standard Contractual Clauses or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Account deletion is described on our Delete account page.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
